Hello Everyone, I'm chugging along on my SX-850 restorationhttps://www.audiokarma.org/forums/i...ages-off-then-fuse-blew.867032/#post-12671411
I've already done the power supply, protection circuit and EQ board. I was working on the Power Amp (so far this has been the easiest unit to work on!), when I realized I somehow only ordered 2 of the UF4004 1A 400V rectifiers to replace D7-D10 (1S1885). There is still a brick and mortar electronics shop in Berkeley, where I could pick up 2 more of the UF4004, but most likely it'll be an NTE product. Would NTE be okay in this situation, or are these critical enough to warrant making sure to get OnSemis from Mouser? I'm trying to avoid the $5 shipping for $1 worth of parts. I suppose I could add new output transistors onto the order.... The unit works after my wiring fixes, so I wasn't sure I even need to change the original rectifiers. They show up on all the BOM lists I've seen, so I figured they were somewhat important.
Thanks!
