Just picked up this receiver... and was cleaning (dexoit) the pots and selector switches. Everything going well, then I decided to do the A-B switch the same way. Pulled the (top) cover and now the switch is clunky and not working (engaging) properly.

Just wanted to know possibly what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions will would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing you haven't taken off the face plate yet.
These button switches have silicone like wipers/grommets that come unglued from the faceplate and bind the switch.

All you need to do is pull the faceplate away from the button switch and you can re-glue the silicone grommet back in place.

I used a very small drop of ca glue.

Good luck,
That is a beautiful receiver.

Have the switch board loose from the backing plate. Removed the retainer clip and plastic cover and applied a shot of Dexoit.

*** Correction ***

It is the FM muting /mpx pair... not A-B speaker output selection switches.
