One call should tell you whether or not it's a scam. Dave- 757) 822-4585

I doubt that's a scam, the phone number and the neighborhood matches and I bought some stuff from that neighborhood before and its a goldmine.

Looks like the main caps have been replaced in the last pic.
If this is real it is worth way more than asking .
Pretty nice pics and the unit is pretty pristine. Can't believe ad it is still up.
Hmmmm.

Seems pretty safe
Don't send money , bring cash and the Glock.
You can't beat an honest man
If it were near me i'd try.

It's a google voice number most likely, so the area code is irrelevant. It's really obvious that it's a scam--who offers to ship on Craigslist? Especially something gigantic and wildly underpriced.

The EXACT same ad was on Milwaukee CL last month. Same pics, same description, same name.

It's a scam. Scam scam scam scam scam scam.

The point of the ad is to get Paypal, whether as a deposit or for shipping. Try to arrange a pickup. Just a try to get an address. You can't.

PP is (i believe is safe if its not FF) That being said , it sounds fishy and i'd have to reconsider my initial thoughts:idea:

I didn't try on this one but I've seen similar ads and responded with intent to buy if as advertised, cash in hand, local etc... never a response.

Not sure if people are just faster on the draw than I or there really are scammers out there. Lately I haven't been buying anything though so am not really up on what's happening. My late Craigslist purchases have been boring stuff like desk chairs, cookware, etc.

Sure is!

One of the many red flags with these is that the ads stay up until they're flagged off, and then they'll get reposted again and again. Any legit broken SX-1280 or working 9090DB for $325 would be gone virtually immediately.

Also, if you look at the ad for the 9090DB, the guy clearly sounds like an audio guy, right? The stuff about Deoxit, the clear description. Who would know that much about audio and yet list such a high-end item for wildly below market?

yeah after that that's probably a scam. Pretty sure I responded to the EXACT SAME AD (the Sansui) a year or two ago because I happened to be physically in Alexandria when it was posted. Guessing seller doesn't want to deal face to face with people with cash in hand for some reason...

The same ad popped up in the Richmond, VA area. I texted with them and I suggested we meet at the Safe Exchange Zone at the local Sheriff's office. They responded with "f--- that" and "suck my ballzzz." I dunno... sounds legit. :)

The pics in the local ad are almost exactly the same as the ones in an old ebay listing. This is definitely a scam. Bummer.
