Symphony X

Thought I would share my favorite band. These guys are considered progressive metal. I enjoy all walks of music, but these guys really do it for me. Its a combination of rocking keyboard, screaming guitar, smooth vocals, the actual symphony they have on alot of the songs, and the metal like double bass style of the drummer.

almost anything with a 5 minute keyboard solo does me in...lol..

"Sir" Russell Allen has a fine voice. I discovered him through his work with Arjen Lucassen, and picked up Paradise Lost and The Odyssey. His solo release, Atomic Soul, is also excellent.

I have a couple Symphony X cds. I discovered them 10 or so years ago. Good band.
