hi, I am putting together a system for a sale, I have a Sony STR-vx5 and Pioneer cs-66g speakers. Is this a OK combination for a beginner? plus a PL-510A tt.:scratch2:

Amp 55 watts per channel
speakers 40 watts per channel

HI, the CS-66g speakers were a bust, tweeter surrounds cracked. They still played though?


They picked up the receiver, he will need speakers.:scratch2:

I had apair of those 66Gs, nice sounding speaker but yeah, good luck findin surrounds for the tweeter and midrange. I finally let them go but I did enjoy the sound, very smooth.

The midrange and woofer are fine, even look new? I was surprised the tweeters went? There is a guy in Europe I think who makes 3" speaker kits.

I like the enclosure, solid.
