Systemdek iix into Cyrus Lyric

I am setting up the above TT using my Cyrus Lyric Stealth (analogue input) via a Rega Phono Mini A2D.
The output volume seems very low. To hear at minimal levels I'm sitting at -21 dB. (The Cyrus works back from max of 0. I know the rega Mini may not be the best out there but I should be getting a better output than this.
Also there is very little bottom end.
Does anyone have a steer what I can check. For info I have a Ortofon Blue tracking all fine.

Your setup should work, but your phono will have a (significantly) lower volume when compared to other line level sources. This is not uncommon.
Numbers below look fair. You may be bumping up again equipment input sensitivity?
No bass? Compared to other sources? Could be a lot of drivers for this. If you are not using the A2D feature, I would swap in another phono section to see if this improves your sound; something w/>40dB gain.

rega = 40dB gain? 5 mV for 500 mV Output
blue = 5.5mV
so you should get ~550mV vs ~2V from CD/line source.
Cyrus analog input sensitivity (for 170W output) .................. 530 mV

Hi
Thanks for taking the time to respond with very useful data it is very much appreciated.
I don't really have an option at present to try another phono stage. I'm not sure when you say "not using the A2D features" as it seems to be just a plug and play with no scope to customise.
I understand that the gain knob is for outputting to a digital source for "ripping" not for a input gain.
Can you clarify "bumping up again...." Don't know what this means.
The bass issue is in comparison to CD and streaming hi-res.

Assuming the TT/cart is working well, it appears you would benefit from more gain from your phono preamp.
If you don't have another option, you are just going to have to turn up the volume!

One of the Rega's main feature is the A2D. If you are not using this feature/option, I would be more comfortable recommending replacement. I understand this is not an option.
When I referenced 'bumping up', it was slang to mean increasing the phono gain.

You have the TT plugged directly into the Rega? no long cable run?
Again - what you have should work & it is common for the TT to have less volume, but a significant loss indicates an opportunity for improvement.

Thanks. Yes all connected correctly with no long cables. Yeah it's a significant loss. Streaming volume -48. TT equivalent vol is -19.

@mrwood200
Can you explain the "A2D features" is the rega mini A2D designed to plug onto a non analogue input? And because I have an analogue input this " feature" is redundant?

Not that unusual, but also not that appealing (~550mV TT signal vs estimate 2V streamer)
I think most systems will have differences in volume when switching between sources.
The problem we have is you are not comfortable with the different settings of the volume knob and do not like the TT sound quality.

Not exactly - I see the rega is a MM phono preamp with analog & digital outputs. You can convert the Analog signal from TT into a Digital signal, or just amplify the analog signal. This should work fine, but apparently it does not for your application.
