A good friend, recently retired after a long career in the United States Air Force, passed the following along to me. After reading and participating in several recent threads on Audio Karma about Great Old Television shows and vintage television sets, the attached link to the video seems to be particularly permanent right now and worthy of sharing with my friends. Is it Karma - or coincidence? That's for you to decide but the message is clear. Either way, I enjoyed watching it several times.

A must see video - the difference between then and now..

This is a Power Point video. Hopefully your computer will play it or you may have to down load a Power Point Player. Worth the time and effort to see this.

Here is a free Power Point Viewer from Microsoft

This is a salute to Veterans and a salute to TV as the older generation grew up and learned what people do not seem to know now such as honesty, respect, integrity, etc.

Amen! :thmbsp:

Whoa, that was well worth watching. :thmbsp: My father was in the Army Air Corps, I was told, & it looks like I oughta read up on it. :scratch2:

Thats a Great link! Thanks for the info, there were a lot of actors who were in the war and were true American Heroes. My Father was a MSGT in the Army and was in the Pacific island hopping and was the first troops into Japan after they dropped the Atomic bombs. He was in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Thanks for the timely link it was much appreciated.
Regards,
Jim

I tried to play the PowerPoint presentation at work today using the OpenOffice PPT program but it didn't run correctly. I downloaded the free Microsoft PowerPoint viewer (<2 minutes) and it runs perfectly.

It is a great video, a great message, and a well deserved tribute to our veterans.
