Tandberg 3500x Meters

Hi all! Haven't posted here before ,usually just stalk around. Today I picked up a Tandberg 3500x and a Revox A77 at a music store for $25 each. I've had some tapes kicking around for a while and thought, what could it hurt picking these up. Anyways, the Tandberg works great, but the meters won't light or show signal. There is no power making it to the bulbs. I've done a little circuit level repair in the past, but troubleshooting this might be a little beyond my experience levels. I'm hoping someone here might have some insight as to what I'm missing.

The meter lights come on with the Record function. Try cycling those switches and see if you don't get lights.

Funny you replied now, I just got finished feeling pretty dumb discovering that they only work when Record is selected. Discovered while cleaning it up. At least now I know it works 100% and sounds fantastic. Now to get that A77 working...
