Hi everyone
I have a tandberg 64 tube reel to reel recorder that seems to run ok but listening to the sound on my quad 22/2 amp set up there is no bass responce at all.
I am guessing that a few audio caps may have failed.
Has anyone come across this problem in this or any other tube tape recorder?

I have experienced this problem in tube preamps. The odds are that the main power-supply filter caps have failed (open).
