Hello everyone, i just bought a pair of Tannoy Eyris DC1 from a garage sale. I tried to connect on my amplifier but the tweeters on the upper part has no sound. the tweeters on the center of the woofer are working fine. i tried to remove the upper tweeters and tried another tweeters and still no sound. the question is, does the upper tweeters should have a sound or its just a design or display? thanks

The upper tweeters are supertweeters. They only operate from about 12KHz and up.
They can be hard to hear as discrete sound producers, sometimes.
The difference in sound between having them working or not, is usually apparent, when they are added and subtracted from the system, though.
I would test the original supertweeters with a multimeter, to see if they have appropriate resistance (somewhere between 5 and 8 ohms DC or so)...

Great question- however, the dual-concentric tweeter and the supertweeter would be on the same set (upper) of the bi-wire terminals, with the woofer on the other (lower) terminals. So, if the jumpers weren't in place, neither tweeter would be working.

thanks. i test the original tweeters with multimeter and the range is not stable.im pretty sure they are defective.can i replace them with normal tweeters?
When you say "not stable", what does that exactly mean?
Sometimes, drivers will vary in impedance, due to them acting like microphones (picking up vibration around them)- this can make the reading vary up and down a bit. Though, even in these cases, a working tweeter should read somewhere between zero ohms (dead short) to no more than 40-50 ohms. Probably more like between 3 and 15 ohms.
