I have used five different pairs of HPD385 drivers so far and was lucky to listen few with people around. They all sound different to my ears. Alignment of HF drivers on these drivers seems like a tricky one. In my opinion well known technicians also fails to align them properly.
With whomever I have discussed about these drivers, everyone suggests the soft surrounds (not the topic here). But the best ones I have ever heard is with hard surrounds and untouched HF drivers.
Lets come to the point...
Any Tannoy experts here who can suggest how to align the HF driver in a HPD385 driver and measure it.
Any reference measurement data available?
