Tape system from the Saratoga Performing Arts Center?

A couple weeks ago I was driving by a neighbor's lawn sale and spotted some gear, but didn't have time to stop. Finally stopped by yesterday and checked out what he had:

- JVC 4VR-5456X 4 channel receiver
- Sansui QD-5500 4 channel reel to reel tape deck
- Technics RS-858US 8 track 4 channel deck
- a whole bunch of 8 tracks & home recorded reels

$200, so I didn't haggle. Loaded it up and brought it home. He claimed he got it from SPAC and they used to play music on it there. Is that possible?
