Tarnished?

Okay well, I got out the Mothers and started today. I finsihed the tape deck, and really scraped at the buttons on the CT-F550. They got a little better, and I think that if I just keep going at them for awhile then they will come clean real nice. Yours, looks 1000 times better than mine does. The face, and the knob look great. But the little part where it has its name is still trashed and green. The 3700 is looking decent so far... like I said I think I am gonna have to go at it again when I get some more polish. Gotta find my camera to post pics.
 
I use 100% isopropyl alcohol I get from work. I caution against using it on any silkscreened printing but on my SX-1250 and SX-1980 nothing brings out the shine better.
