TASCAM 122 Mark II , belt issues

I'm trying to freshen up a model 122 Mark II ( the mark III is a diff transport , btw)

Not too much goop left over on the head lift pulley system

I was wondering if anyone knew what the two belt dimensions are??

I have many many new replacement belts in stock already

I'm adding some pics of what it looks like inside too

SO!...I found a brand new one in my stock, just FOR the 122 mkII

The dimensions are 6.50x0.065 square

I know the 122 MKII very well, you know also you can replace the cheap crappy OP Amps with superior ones and lower the noise floor and THD significantly as well...
I used LM4562. I really does improve the sound.

Make sure you do a good alignment on it and set up the REC levels and EQ bias and well as the playback levels and EQ bias too.
I love the way they infinitely adjustable, and because if this they make excellent recordings.

I believe it was the best Cassette deck Tascam made, the MKIII suffered a little from cost cutting, but still a good deck...

I will want to look into this but a lot of 10MHz op amps do nothing as they are in the middle of other inferior parts- so what kind of difference did you see in measurements? There are times that the better op amp did nothing for the specs improvement. When asking some of these guys who did them the answer was it sounds better which is the answer you get from a snake oil repair person. I upgrade decks when they hit my bench but other than Alex Nikitin's mute circuit change and I trust and know he is no bonehead, I am still looking for improvements- I know the headphone amp could also be improved on all of these but I would have to develop a new PCB mod to do this.

I use Buna seals that are 6.5 to 6.7" and they will outlast a neoprene belt that they never turn to liquid like a lot of them I have had to repair and remove the residue. I have serviced at least 500 of these decks and corrected at this point 186 capstan motors.
