Tascam TSR8 Need Help

Hi I have a Tascam TSR8 the audio was fine and now there is no signal coming in, no vu display of audio, and no audio playback. Everything else works as usual. Any ideas?
The only problem I had previously is the tension arm on the supply side sometimes is jerky. I removed the front panel to check out the belt and when I put it back on there was no signal at all in or out of the unit.
Any help is appreciated.

So, just to clarify, it does power on? The transport works only partially?

I have the 8-channel Tascam 38, but I can see it's rather different. I might not be of much help in any case.

Ok, it ended up being a defective power supply stopping inputs/outputs on all channels They had to replace transistors, p.s. reg. and 2 fuses. Glad I brought this into a tech, lol. Was also able to get it brought up to factory spec. My lesson to others is find a good tech when you can unless you’re really familiar with the machine and have all the tools. There were other minor things things that could’ve caused an issue down the line he was able to repair. For example, a piece of disintegrating rubber was leading to rubbing on the sensor causing intermittent jerky playback.
