TEAC 450 won’t play, ideas?

My TEAC 450 would need to warm up before being able to play. If played without being left on for 5 minutes or so it will just pop the play button back up after 6 seconds or so.
Now it won’t play at all. I replaced the belts but that made no difference.
Has anyone dealt with this issue before?

There are threads on this deck here and elsewhere. Have you reviewed those? Manuals are also available online. I suspect the primary motor needs to be cleaned and lubricated. I had to do that to mine in order to get it to operate properly.

Hi Thank you,
I looked but did not see a thread that talked about it needing to warm up, to me that hints at needing a new cap possibly but I’m totally a beginner so I’m seeing if anyone has dealt with this before.
I think cleaning and oiling the motor and play/rec switches in general sounds like a great idea though.
