Teac A-4010S belt change

This one is gummed up... but take the faceplate off Joe and check the sleeve assembly where the spring is attached.
 
The left tension arm is very stiff on this model. The spring is a heavy metal type. That's normal. Do not oil it. That model, and the 1200, have the same transport. There is a great amount of tape bounce as a result.

Hello guys.

Some days ago I'd bought a Teac Tascam series 32-2b and it screams on FF or FR function.

Noise comes from those rolles located on the tension arms.

I drop some different type of oils on the bronze bearing (graphite includded) but
some minutes later it begin screamming again.

Is it possible to change that bronze bearing from the aluminium rollers?

Is the bronze pressed into de aluminium?

Did someone do that? Or it's just a crazy idea from me?

David. On the Supply reel Tension arm. Behind the spring is a capture screw. Loosen that and slide the whole shebang out. The spring wraps around the shaft of the arm and attaches to the metal cage that the screw is behind. The cage is keyed to the main shaft to hold it, so the spring has a tension attachment. After you pull it all out, clean off any old lube from the back shaft and the hole on the arm(where the spring is). Relube with some lithium grease and sewing machine oil. Reinstall. The spring may not tension when you install. If not put the arm in until it bottoms out, and tighten the screw slightly. Then with curved needle nose pliers (small), rotate the spring around clockwise until it catches on the cage. tighten down the screw. Make sure the arm is bottomed out on the shaft or it WILL rub on the supply reel.

I just had to do that with my 4010GSL. Only took me 2 hours to figure it all out.
