Hi all,

Recently received a pair on Teac PD-H570 cd players. Both look to be in good shape, but sound jammed and give an "ERR" message. And in neither case, does the door open.

I'm sure they will need belts, but this is not simply a belt slipping.

Any chance this is a common problem on theses units?

I'm sorry, very brittle plastic. The service manual is not very good in the mechanical section, and you have to tear the whole thing down. to get to the belt in the back. But in all, there is a plastic guide pin that breaks, mis-aligns the trays and the whole thing is done. Maybe that's not the case in yours, but that's what I've seen.
