Teac V-900X cassette deck issue

My Teac V-900X cassette deck has a problem. When I turn it on, the unit turn on but I can not eject the tape or play it or rewind and FFW it. Basically nothing can be done until 2-3 minutes later, when the unit is "warm up", then I can eject tape, play tape, rew or ffw. It then works just fine and product excellent sound. Please help me how to fix this issue. Thanks a lot.

Hey doom
Mine does the same,you have to let it warm up a few minutes.I found that out I was a little confused

Mine did the same thing. Sometimes I could get it to open sooner by power cycling it. Can't remember if I hit the eject button as soon as I powered it off or on. Never found out why it did that.
 
I have tried to replace couple caps at power supply board but problem is still there. But once it is warm up, it sounds amazing though. Just give it 2-3 minutes extra like you turn on your car in the morning before driving. I believe I will figure out the issue some day but may not very soon. Hang in there.
 
One more thing, I disconnect yellow and green cables connect the whole tape unit to the main PCB. I fired it up for 3 minutes then connect the cables to the PCB while unit is still turn on. Then I can operate the deck without issue. This means the tape unit is OK, the issue is somewhere on the PCB. Could be some caps, could be transistors or could be anything.
