Teac X-2000M Forward Problem

Hello,
I am working on Teac X-2000M, It had a belt issue and I have changed the belts, and the captain side working now. But after the belt operation Forward not working at all (Fast Forward and Rewind works just fine), it just gives a turn at the start and stops immediately. All paths are clean. What might be the problem?

I have solved the problem. It was due to faulty placement of belt. But now I have a problem with the recording side... The device is not recording as I expected. Especially Erase head not working.

Hello folks, i'm "fresh new" here. ;)

I recently acquired five r2r tapes, one TASCAM 42B, two TEAC X-1000R, and inally two TEAC X2000M, and the X2000M suffer a bizarre roblem to me, one one of the two units when I press rewind, it goes Fast forward, and impossible to stop unless I push off the unit, the other X2000M do the same thing, but inverse, it goes goe's in REW when I press fast forward, and again, impossible to stop, unless i power off the unit...

I know nothing on these machines, except it was not well maintained, because when I purchased, when I do a head cleaning, the heads was horribly dirt of tape residue, the pinch rollers too, Pwerformed a good cleaning of the pinch rolles, the heads, capstan sliders, ect, ect, all is fine and work 'freely', BUT when i push to rewind, one machine goe's into FF, the ther one do inverse.

What the hell this probklem will be???, any inputs will be very appreciated.

Regards,

Dominique.
