I have finished the mechanical adjustments on my Teac X1000r.

Next up is working through the electrical adjustments for playback level. I am using the instructions provided in the SM, and I find them rather cryptic-as I have minimal bench skills.

If someone would be kind enough to walk me through the steps, I would be immensely grateful!

Here is the SM "monitor level" instructions.

So, if I understand what is being said in step 1.1:
Connect 400hz tone source (signal generator in my case), to line in, with DBX out, Monitor switch to Source, Mic level to 0, Line in Level to Max, Output knob to Cal position. Measure with VM, tone generator signal on input to 61.5mv, and adjust signal received at R369 to 308mv.
Question-at what test input point am I measuring-At pin 14 of Rec and Playback amp?
I think I will need an attenuator for my signal generator. Can I just get something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Contro...cphy=9007836&hvtargid=pla-1220708223553&psc=1
