TechFlex - How does it work?

Just finished fabricating some speaker cables using four, cat 5 plenum data cables twisted together. (Endeavor X2 cables designed by RJM audio.) They are about 0.5 inch in diameter; and I'd like to wrap them in TechFlex; but, I don't know how the stuff works. Is it like heat shrink? Or is something else. Sorry to be a dunce.

BTW, cables sound good. I'll provide info if anybody is intetested

Post a link, please. I'm guessing it's a spiral wrap, just wrap it around.

TechFlex is a manufacturer, not a product. What do you want to use?

You just put it on the cable and that's it. You buy a smaller gauge techflex then the actual cable so it stretches on it and has a tight fit.

It functions almost exactly like a Chinese finger trap. Push it together, feed the wires in, pull it snug and you're done. Add some heatshrink to each end to hold it if you feel so inclined.
