Hi everyone!
Long time lurker, looking for help from anyone who has repaired Technics DDs and might have come across these symptoms:
I have a Technics SL-01 , its an early rare 70s Japan-market DD quartz lock table , a bit similar to the SL-1500 MkII and SP-20 internally I'm told. I got one in excellet conditon, looks like NOS. I have it on a step down transformer since it runs on Japan voltage.

The pitch is quite wobbly still after replacing the capacitors , with the strobe wiggling quickly to the left and right just a bit. It also comes with an irregular faint clicking or knocking sound that seems to come from the inside of the deck. The noise is not picked up in the speakers at all. It does this on both 33 and 45rpm speeds. This table has no pitch fader.
When stopped , you can manually spin the platter and its silent with no such noise. It starts as soon as I hit the start button. The shaky pitch comes with it.
I replaced the caps after I first got the table and tested it out and noticed the pitch issue. After replacement it initially seemed to be perfect pitch stable for about 10 minutes and then went right back to erratic and clicking and has stayed that way
