Technics M33

I just bought a Technics M33 in nice condition, and it has started to do something: The left side has been cutting out (both A&B channels). What is weird is that if I turn the deck off and turn it back on, it is working fine, at least for a little while.
I've had my desk fan pointed at it, so I don't know if a little dust and/or pollen has gotten into some of the deck controls, but I thought I'd ask about this here before I get some compressed air and electric contact cleaner.
Anybody have any clues?
