I have a Question about a Technics Reel to Reel Tape Deck. Why did Technics on there Cooling Fan’s use metal Blades & some models used Plastic Blades? On Model RS-741US they used Metal Fan Blades & on Model RS-715US they used Plastic Fan Blades? I know the plastic ones are harder to Clean out. I have both & was wondering if it hurt to change the Plastic one & put the Metal one on the Technics RS-715US Reel to Reel Tape Deck?

Agree. To save manufacturing cost.
Metal Blades will slow Fan slight. I would not see any problem. Oil it regularly.
