Technics RS-X502 mechanicals processor "Peak voltage terminal of rec. signal"

Hi folks,
I am looking for some clarification about the purpose of the "Peak voltage terminal of rec. signal" input. What does it change in the mechanic processor execution routines and how exactly affects the behavior of the Deck while recording?
The Deck is Technics RS-X502
The mechanical processor is M50963-248SP (DIL64, 1.778 pitch)
The "Peak voltage terminal of rec. signal" is pin 11 (AN6) from the Service Manual.

Thanks in advance!

OK, I think I found it
Inside the "Operating instructions" paper, on page 12, there is a section which describes the "CD Edit-recording" One feature is "The ATLS function will be activated to adjust the recording level". Then for the "ATLS Function" it says "The compact disk player searches for the peak point of the disk automatically. When the peak point is found the peak signal will be sent to this unit and the recording level will be set automatically at this unit".
Taking into account that this unit have a PWM control of the volume of Line In (through the PWM-to-Voltage solution with IC7) the only other thing that left is that the processor will receive that particular peak signal on that pin 11(AN6) described as "Peak voltage terminal of rec. signal" and then will adjust the upper limit for the PWM signal before other manual changes through the value from the VR1(Rec Level) - "After searching for the peak point of the disk automatically, the recording level can be set manually as desired (MTLS function).".
That's it! :)
Of course in order this to work the CD player has to have the "System Control" terminal (like the models SL-PJ38/PJ38A/PJ28/PJ28A) connected to the deck.

One other nice explanation for the ATLS function that I found in another manual for Panasonic unit:

What is the ATLS function:
"ATLS" stands for Automatic Tape Level Setting, and It refers to the function which automatically sets the recording level. No sound is heard while ATLS is operating.
1. It scans the tracks on the CD and finds the point with the maximum sound level.
2. It sends the peak signal to the cassette deck section and automatically sets the recording level.
3. Recording now starts.

Cheers!
