I've had this receiver for a while-was my dads, dragged it out of the closet and it ran like a champ the past what, 2 years? All it needed was a good pot cleaning and a major dust off. Just now-coincidentally after I plugged a new 8 track deck I just got into it-it's started making a horrible pop through the right speaker when turned on and off, with the volume at 0, but the right speaker does have audio going through it. Left speaker has no sound, but will pop when you change the speaker channels from remote/main/remote and main??? Does this stuff on each channel, phono, aux, tape, FM, etc. Can't figure out what it is. Tried rewiring the left speaker and fiddling with the switches to see if they were just dirty to no avail. Wondering if something just completely, finally blew in the amp/power section. Any ideas? Do I need to get to soldering or is something just dirty?
