Technics SA-370 (bpc) relay constant clicking

I purchased an SA-370 on the bay that was damaged on shipment (issue has been resolved). Anyways I ended up being allowed to keep the unit, which has a weird condition where the relay will click very fast and the unit will not start up, however if left plugged in (but off) for a few hours, the relay will then click slower and slower until it CLICKS once and the unit starts up as normal, at which point all the function work as usual. Technically the unit does work, although i'd like to figure out the cause of the clicking relay. I replaced the fuse which made no difference. Any suggestions on where to start? Unit is a late 80s model.

Look the circuit board over for cracks and broken copper traces especially around fastening screws.

Bingo I think you're right. Found these cracks near a hole near the power and relay area. Not quite sure how to approach a fix, any suggestions?
