Speakers connected to output on right side of my SA-400 are giving inconsistent sound. This happens for both main and remote outputs on the right side. Sometimes it’ll briefly work, other times it won’t at all.
When I connect all speakers to the left output (Main and remote) it’ll work perfectly fine so it’s confirmed to be the right output side and not the speakers or turntable.
I’ve thoroughly cleaned the relay with dioxit and the right side will temporarily work until it goes out again. I also unplugged the fuse cover on the back of the receiver and connected the positive speaker wire of the faulty right side to the fuse caps. I don’t get sound when the wire touches the right fuse but I will when it touches the left side fuse.
I’m a total novice when it comes to troubleshooting this stuff so any advice is appreciated. Please let me know if clarification is needed with the way I described the issues and my troubleshooting efforts.
thanks in advance!
