Technics SA-616 - replace speaker terminals

I recently broke off a couple of the plastic quarter-turn speaker cable locks on my Technics and need some ideas about how to fix this. I very much miss my Technics and need it back ASAP :)

Lets say I decide to do something custom to repair it using something from here: http://www.parts-express.com/cat/binding-posts/1506. Since I am very new to working inside the equipment is there a way to guide me in determining which cables coming off that board do what? Using my limited logic skills, I see 6 wires, so I'm guessing 2 are for speaker 'A' 2 are for speaker 'B' and 2 are for 'A & B'?

I've poked around PE but haven't really seen anything that might work. I'm probably not searching with proper terminology.

I think if I can figure out which wires on the board pictured go to what speakers, I should be able to rewire something similar to what Echowars did in the other linked thread.

Anyone ideas?

I do have the service manual for the SA-616 if needed. But it's mostly Greek to me :)

The other side of the pcb in your first pic ought to tell you all you need. Looks like you might have a single set of "Commons" for both the lefts and both the rights. You should be able to wire your binding posts in a similar fashion, but you'll be required to add some lengths of wire, as appropriate.

I am pretty sure you can just wire the grounds to the existing black connectors and make sure the speaker switch has both A and B on.

Not quite, you will have one wire for each of the four positive speaker terminals (1= pos+ main left, 1= pos+ main right, 1= pos+ remote left and 1= pos+ remote right). The left channel main and remote grounds will be tied together to one wire leaving the right channel main and remote grounds tied together to one wire.

Here is a pic to help you. So once you get some new chassis binding posts mounted, attach each of the four + wires to the four corresponding + posts. As for the - binding posts, you will tie the two left (main & remote) negative posts together and attach the single corresponding ground wire and the same applies for the right.

I finally got around to start replacing the broken speaker terminals on the Technics. I cut the leads from the board and added a bit of extra wire to each of the leads to make it a bit easier to work when I go to put them back in. Now to make a back plate to replace the plastic one that was used before. I have a nice piece of metal from the top of an old CDROM that i was thinking about using. it's flat and fairly thick so it should hold up well, just gotta figure a way to cut it to fit.
