I bought one of these brand new way back in the day. It was working great until quite recently. Now the VFD display no longer works and most of the buttons on the left hand side of the front panel also no longer work. The remote still works and the unit still plays audio fine.

I've gone hunting for schematics and/or a service manual but so far haven't found anything useful. Any and all tips or leads would be greatly appreciated. I still love this unit and would like to get it working again.

I just picked up one of these and had the exact same thing. I unplugged everything from the audio out ports and the same problem you had went away.
