Technics SB-L56

Picked up a pair of Technics SB-L56 speakers from a thrift store a few days ago. They are in excellent condition, sound great and I paid $4 each for them. Yes, $4. I've been trying to find some info on them, I'm not very familiar with technics as it is. Mid-range and 10" woofer are made of paper so I know that screams cheap but hey they were pocket change. Any info or specs that can be contributed would be great! Maybe a resell price too?

Pricing queries belong in the Dollars and Sense forum,.but I can tell you that these were probably originally part of a rack system. Paper woofers and midranges are not inherently bad (it's a design decision, not necessarily an economics decision), but most (not all) Technics speakers do overall tend towards the cheaply made side. If you're happy with how they sound, that's all that matters.

Sound like nice speakers i have a similar pair and are great. They are most likely pretty nice i tend to see technics a a higher audio quality brand. Enjoy!
