Technics SD-C / SB-CD series ?

Hello everybody,


After a search on the forum and on the internet in general, I haven't found much about these series.

I've spotted in a second hand shop the Technics SB-9000 speakers, same as here:

Does anyone what worth are they ?

They look like some japanese Technics SB-MX series

Don't be surprised if this gets moved to Dollars and Sense - that's where value questions are usually posted.

That being said, both examples look like Technics' attempt at imitating Yamaha. They should sound decent, but don't expect anything amazing or wonderful.
 
I can tell you about wonderful sound from their expensive speakers - from The SB 6000 and 7000 to the 10000 and all the horn ones (Encloser with horn ON TOP). Some Vintage Technics speakers give current 10,000 Euro B and W speakers a run for their money.

Their mid and low range stuff is ... decent but not anything to be happy about really. I would even say, not very good at all.

Well, the small SB 1, 2 and 3 are pretty good monitors. Full aluminum enclosures.

How would you rate the SB-5000 then ? I can get them for a little under 200USD shipped, them seem in quite a good shape.
