I recently purchased a technics sl110a. Cartridge is M95ED stylus is shure 6x. Looking up grams set for the cartridge and stylus shows 2 to 2.5 grams but I dont think the head shell is technics. The weight is set just under 5 grams. Question is what would the weight need set at with the head shell puctured.

That headshell is definitely not a Technics but that does not matter with respect to tracking force. That is still determined by the stylus, not the headshell.
Do you know how to properly set the tracking force? Just because the scale says 5 does not mean there is 5 grams at the stylus on the record.

I watched the video that Montycat posted and he used a scale to get the correct weight. Would it be a good idea to purchase one to get the weight set.
This is my first turntable so I want to make sure it set up correctly.
