Did I kill my Technics cueing. Picked up a very nice Technics SL-1300 MK II with a Sansui SV-40X cart. The control buttons were froze up. Worked them out with De-Ox. Got everything but the stop button working. Got the auto play and return working. The cueing lever was very stiff, I was afraid it might break. Squirted a few drops of oil at the base of the lever to see if it might smooth it out some. Worked the lever a few times. Killed the Cueing and auto lift completely. Lever won’t lift. Auto play and return won’t lift, but the arm swings in and back. What did I do and is there any kind of fix. Signed… Can’t leave well enough alone.

No you didn't kill it, the broken cuing is a common problem on those tables.

Yes. Did you check the thread I posted earlier?
John

Yes, and my eyes kinda glazed over. :D I will need to study it before I attempt it. It does seem like a nice table, shame they would short cut such a critical part.

Yeah, they are very nice tables. But yes, they break. I have used mine in manual mode since I got it.

Finally hooked it up with the Sansui cart. Sounds really good. Shame, wish I had known about the breaking issue, I would have been a little more careful, maybe it would not have broke so quick. :sigh:
