Technics SL-1401 Buttons

Hi all - I just bought a beautiful Technics SL-1401. Everything works and sounds great. I just had a question about the buttons. The power button functions like a normal, springy button. The same is not tru of the 45, 33, and start/stop buttons. They work, they just don't really move when I press them. I wanted to see if this was normal or if they need something like deoxit. Thanks in advance!
