Technics SL-1500 Restoration Questions

Hey Guys,

First time poster, long time reader. I recently picked up a second hand Technics SL-1500 which is in really good nick aside from it's missing rubber mat & broken tonearm rest.

I've done a bit of research & It seems the SL-1200 rubber mats will fit the 1500 fine and they are readily available, my question is - will a 1200 tonearm rest fit onto a 1500?

Welcome to AK! Is your turntable an SL-1500 MKI or MKII? I believe that the SL-1200 MKII armrest would be a direct replacement for an SL-1500 MKII or any of the SL-1xxx MKII's. On the original (MKI) decks I believe that the post and rest are one piece.
