Technics SL-1700mk2 Turntable RCA cable replacement

I am attempting a Technics SL-1700mk2 Turntable RCA cable replacement. I must be daft as I cannot figure out where the rca cable is terminated inside of the unit .. unlike the sl-1200 that has a simple cover that is removed at the bottom of the unit to reveal the cable termination. I would be so appreciative if some one could help out. I am fearing a big dissassembly . thk U

The connections are on the bottom of the tone arm. It’s not very challenging to do but you need to remove the tone arm to do it.
 
Technics cables are good. If there are no issues with the ones you have I'd advise you not to change them.
I was tempted to do it with my 1600Mk2 ones, but only changed the rca connectors. Don't regret.

Thanks for the reply, this turned out to be a pretty easy mod. Luckily I have plenty of parts chassis old electronic gear small screws the mount for the RCA connectors is from 16th and aluminum chassis from a electronic unit. I have a whole lot of these RCA connectors but only with the Red band so I thought it didn't really matter they were both red not a big deal but it turned out really good good luck if you try it again it's not that hard just cut the cable at the entry of the turntable it's place it into two RCA connectors and I mounted them in the same holes part existed :-)
