Technics SL-2000 alignment

Hi everybody, just got a Technics SL-2000 in near mint condition, I have a Stanton T.90, I'm not that satisfied with it because of aligment issues and past week a friend of mine came with this near mint SL-2000 that I couldn't refuse, IMO it's a beatiful TT!
I tought that having a technics means I would have no trouble anymore with cartridge alignment. But after some research here and on google I came with the strange statement that this model has a somewhat different overhang than the others (SL-1200,1300,1900...)
I've downloaded the service manual from vinyl engine (couldn't find anywere the owner's manual) and it's saids that ratther than the 230/15 tonearm setup he (SL-2000) has a 220mm tonearm with 14mm overhang o.o
So the technics overghang tool or the 52mm neddle/rubber distance will not work for me? Can't wait to plug this baby and compare with the Stanton T.90

Thanks!

I've read that the overhang gauge works for all SL-1XXX and 2XXX series...but what if the tonearm of the SL-2000 is 220mm (acording to the service manual at vinylengine) instead of 230mm like all the others?? Anyone has or had this TT? Thanks for any assistance.

Ok trust me on this try 52mm if you have the older style Technics Headshell which I will assume you do, the insert piece is reversible if you can't get the 52mm the way it's set for now.
Take out the screw and nut on the shell and reverse the direction of the insert piece, it will allow you to move it farther forward or back.
