Hello, I am a noob when it comes to vinyl. I have cleaned up the pots with deoxit and replaced the oil/grease on the spindle. The cart and headshell that came with it is from an ION USB turntable. GT something. After balancing the tone arm and using a printed protractor to confirm its alignment, I get harsh treble off records I cleaned with Titebond II. it did not sound this way at first. Anyway, I have a blue ADC K8 that I pulled from a non-working BSR 710 that measures at 380 on the right and 360ish on the left. Is this cart worth using with the SL-23? If so, is there a good replacement stylus that would sound great? Or would be better to pick up something new? I suppose I'd like to spend no more than US $80. less would be better TBH.
the TT is hooked up to a Denon AVR-2807-Infinity RS3000. I can use my HK230a as a preamp in the future, it is currently in a small dining room setup. (infinity RS11 bookshelfs).
