Hello all! I am in the process of bringing a Technics SL-23 back to life. I have thoroughly cleaned all speed control pots and select switch.
I also did a "recap", since I've been around electronics a while. After completion, the platter will not turn. Further troubleshooting shows that the power supply voltage as measured at the speed control board (terminals + and -), read .75 VDC. When I isolate the board by desoldering the + and -, the voltage at the power supply will increase slowly from 0 to about 14 VDC
Thoughts on whether the speed control is loading the power supply, or could it be something on the P/S failing?
