Technics sl-3300 turntable

I seem to have come across another great buy. On Market Place for sale is a Technics sl-3300 turntable for $25. After a little conversation with the female owner I am set up to buy it in the morning. After a little research it seems that it sells for anywhere from $250 to $399. I also have a JVC QL-A7. My question is how does one compare to the other. I really have no use in keeping both so I'm just wondering which one would be best to use on a everyday basis.

The JVC is theoretically the better turntable. Whether you can hear a difference between them, well, let's say I'd be skeptical. Since they both use a bayonette mount, you can easily swap the headshell between the two to compare the tables and use the same cart.
 
I have an SL5300 which looks very close to the 3300, and I also have a JVC QL A2 and although they both sound pretty good, hands down if I could only keep one the Technics would be the one to go bye bye. You may have a different preference though. ;)
 
AFAIK, the differences between the 3300 and 5300 are that the 5300 has:
stylus light
4 point gimbal tonearm
quartz lock

Doubt any of those would affect the sound quality. Theoretically the quartz lock would be more accurate, but realistically any FG servo DD turntable should already be damn close to spot on.
 
I just picked up the 3300 and haven't been able to hook it up. We are in the process of moving and all the equipment has been packed up. I'm a bit anxious to hear this tt. The new sound room will be the 1st room set up. I will keep you informed of how it (sl-330) does. Thanks for all of you input.

That would be the (sl-3300)
 
I have a SL-3300 in my workshop system, nice turntable. The JVC is actually a Denon and a little further up the food chain. You're the only one who can make the call of which one you prefer.
