The Technics SL-B350 I'm working on on right now wont move the tone arm when the auto start is engaged. The auto return works fine at the end of a record, and the table functions perfectly when the tone arm is moved manually. As it stands right now, when the start button is pushed the arm lifts, jiggles slightly (as if its trying to swing) then sets back down in the cradle and the TT shuts off. I'm betting there is a sticky joint somewhere but it is a complicated mechanism and with no manual for this model available online I cant pinpoint the problem. Already posted on Vinyl Engine to no response, so here's to hoping one of you fine contributors might have some insight into the automatic function mechanics of this model.
