Technics sl D2...much of an upgrade over a Sansui FR D3?

Got a bead on a Technics sl D2, complete, looks to be in good condition. I've read good things about it. I have a Sansui FR D3. The Technics beats the FR D3 by .025 in wow and flutter. Can't compare noise to signal ratio cuz I can't find it on the SL D2. I'd have to drive a ways to get it and would it be a substantial upgrade or just like a baby step. People who own them swear by them, as far as performance and sound rendition. If you have any experience with one of these and might be able to compare the two, please chime in. In wow and flutter alone the SL D2 beats the brains out of the FR D3. I gave 40 bucks for the FR D3 so probably not any issue with resale. Thanks

Go and get it.

You could then decide for yourself which one is preferable.

Yeah I could. Really don't want too unless it's a much better tt. If it isn't, I'll just save $ and get a true step up, or many steps up, without traveling and spending the dough and then reselling. You Akers experiences have saved me time and money and that's why I finally did a paid membership. I figured since I'm benefiting I should support. Thanks

Much better, many step up?

I seriously doubt that could happen with similar mid level, home entertainment grade, commercial electronics, servo direct drive turn tables from the that era.

Personal preference, yes.

Yeah, I'd be doing a sidestep. The wow and flutter difference is what I saw as being much different between the two. I'll save my money and go regards p2 or the like. Thanks, I'm passing on it. Who knows, I may fill my fr-d3 with clay and see if it does anything like I've been reading about.

Who would know what one would prefer sound wise for enjoyment without trying them out?

Spec are not sound preferences.

True. Travel, time and money, along with my small apartment are my factors in this hobby. Right now I have some ba a100's I've got to get out the door. :-\
