Technics sl-d2 - rubber foot has fallen off!!

Had a technics sl-d2 turntable passed down to me. Looks as if its working fine but one of the circular feet has fallen off and has a spring with it.
Looks like it should be easy to put back on but I just cant do it.
Any suggestions?

There should be a little Phillips head screw in the center of the foot that just scews back into the table.

Looks like there is a screw in the already but the foot has just fallen off with the spring

Can you take off one of the other ones and compare? Maybe it did actually break, in which case you could try to glue it, or get one on eBay.

Doesn’t look like the screw can do much because it’s smaller than the hole in the foot

I really can't tell what's going on from the pics, but take the screws out on the bad one and a good one and you will see that the whole thing comes out. Then you will be able to see what's wrong with the bad one.

Screwed them both out and it looks like part of the rubber was torn off so guess I need a new one. Another problem I’ve discovered is the e plastic case doesn’t just stand up like I see in some pictures, it just falls down. Anything I can do about that?

I would try gluing the rubber first before buying a new one. As long as all the bits are there. Super glue would probably work well.

If you slide the plastic cover off, you can remove the spring hinges, and check their condition. Just be careful with the tabs on the plastic cover. They tend to snap off really easily.
