Technics SL-D2 turntable and Onkyo TX21 receiver

I am in the process of putting together a budget setup for my new apartment, and came across someone selling a Technics SL-D2 turntable and Onkyo TX21 receiver. I have read a few posts on the Technics SL-D2, and understand that it can be a decent entry turntable for the right price. I have not been able to find very much information on the Onkyo receiver. Can anyone provide some insight regarding the receiver and its worth? Is it worthwhile to try and get the TT and receiver as a package deal, and, if so, what price is fair? At the moment, the seller has the TT listed at $135 (which I'm pretty sure is extremely overpriced) and the receiver listed at $45. Thanks for the help in advance.

$135 is high for an SL-D2. Good performing TT though. If you can get both for under $100 I'd consider that fair.

Thank you guys for the responses! Going to work on getting the seller to come down on the TT. In the meantime I guess I'll keep checking out my options and see if I can score a better deal.

Recent auctions on the TT are all over the map, although it's worth more than I initially thought. If it's in good condition with a decent cart I'd say around $100 which basically nullifies my previous post. I sold my SL-D2 for $25 a few years back, shoulda held onto it lol.

Just sold an SL-D2 with a nice AT cart for 100 bucks about a month ago. So 135 with a good cart is not out of the question. I agree with others a nice deal for both would be ideal.

Thanks for the heads up on those prices. The seller doesn't have the cart listed, so I'll have to find out and then do some research.

I love the simplicity of the SL D2. No fancy controls or anything. Just a nice, solid Technics unit. Worth $100.00 in nice working condition all day in my book.

I paid top dollar for my SL-D2....thing is mint. Easy to set up, easy to use....I like it a lot.

The SLd2 is a good table.I had one that served me well but in the downsize thing I sold it for roughly $40.Worth way more that that if you need a good table.
