Technics SL-D2 Turntable Dustcover fix / repair

Hello guys

I have a Technics SL-D2 Turntable, and one off the plastic "tongues" hinges on the dustcover ( lid ) just broke of.
So here are a little video of my repair.

Looks great! I remember repairing my SL-210 in the late 80's, but the tab did not look as nice as those!

Very nice job. Another one saved. That's a great looking D2. The dust cover tabs are broken on my D2. I just might have to try this on mine...

What tool(s) did you use drill the holes in the dust cover?

I used an ordinary electric drill and drill intended for metal, like the one in the picture below:
