Hi, I've been given a Technics SL-D212 turntable, when I move the arm over to the platter the strobe light illuminates but the platter doesn't spin. I took the base off and nothing seems to be out of place, the microswitch that the arm switches on I've cleaned, the 2 pots I've cleaned and the 45/33 switch I've cleaned. 1 of the fuses blew 3 times-500ma, but now that doesn't blow, when I move the arm over I can hear the microswitch being switched on but no humm or noise from the motor-the platter spins freely otherwise.
There's not a great deal inside this turntable, I was wondering if anyone else has any ideas?
