Hi - long time lurker, first-time poster. This forum as been helpful for my gear in so many ways! However, I've searched and don't see an answer to what I'm pondering currently so I thought I'd ask.
I'm looking for tips/assist on the best way to apply Deoxit to the pitch wheel on my Technics SL-D3 before I take the bottom off and end up in over my head. (Or if that's a completely stupid idea from the get-go.)
I've used the stuff before on amp pots, but never on a TT. According to the Technics manual, if I take the bottom of, the pot for the pitch would then be on the underside of the wafer board. So that's not the 'better access' that I was hoping for. I'm also not sure about spraying in from the front top exterior while right side up without disassembly would be effective. Looking for feedback, tips etc. on this. Thanks!
