Hi fellow aker's I bought a Nice Technics SL-DL1 and it has a really nice cartridge in it. I however want to swap the cartridge out with another one. I have never setup a linear tracking table before. Any hints or suggestions. It not like my other tables I have.

The manual is over at vinylengine.com. There is no setup. It's a p-mount arm. You unscrew the horizontal screw holding in the cartridge and pull it out. Plug in the new one and replace the screw--that's it. Virtually all p-mount cartridges track at 1.25g and weigh about the same. The manual shows a minor TF adjustment between 1.25g and 1.5g for tweaking or to accomodate some styli that have stylus protectors or brushes that add more weight. But normally it was meant to be plug and play. It's automatically aligned. And no anti-skate in a linear tracker.
 
I bought a junk jvc linear tracking table for the cartridge. It has a digitrac 280 in it. I wanted to swap them out to check out the new cartridge thanks for the info.
